We order take-out from these guys pretty regularly, and the service even for that is excellent (first place I've ever been waiting for food at the bar where the waitress brought me a glass of water!). The one thing to pay attention to: Different cooks have different spice-level comprehension. Some days when I order mild, I get mild. Some days when I order mild... I get oh-my-God hot. I deal with it (though it usually means I can't eat any left-overs, given the way that spicy food increases its heat factor the longer it sits), but it may be a useful warning for the spice-challenged to keep in mind.

This place may not be Zagat-rated like the King and I, but the food is just as good... and the… Read more »
This place was okay.. but I wasn't a big fan of anything I had.
We had the Tom kha soup, sweet baby corn, thai lotus chicken & vegetarian eggrolss. In none of the dishes, did they ask for the level of spiciness. The thai lotus chicken was super sweet, as was the sweet baby corn (although this shouldn't be a surprise given the name ;P). i passed on the bubble tea bc the drink is made w a powder (gross).
all in all - the food was not good but not terrible. I would chose thai palace (http://www.yelp.com/bi...) over this place any day.
I would say the food is better than the King and I, at least based on my visit. We ordered the kalamari appetizer, which was delicious -- large pieces of squid, wonderfully breaded, very hot from the fryer.
I ordered a soup for my meal. I'm bad with the names, but it was a broth with coconut milk, galangal, lemongrass, brimming with tofu (my choice) and extremely fresh veggies - pea pods, mushrooms, carrots, etc.
My hubby ordered a stir-fried noodle dish (again, sorry about the lack of names) that was mixed with a reddish sauce, slightly sweet but mostly rich and spicy (how we both like it!). The chicken was perfectly cooked, the texture of the tofu excellent.
The pleasant dining room was somewhat busy, and with one waitress tending to the whole place it was a little hard to get her attention. However, she was so friendly and very attentive to getting everyone's food out immediately, so we really couldn't complain that it took a few minutes to get another beer.
I live just blocks away, and this was my first visit. We agreed it beats Noodle House (by a slim margin) and the Thai BBQ place in our book, so we will be back, soon!
Hallelujah!!!
There is bubble tea in Milwaukee. I heard a rumor that Thai Lotus had bubble tea, so I went and checked it out. YES! It's true. I had an avocado smoothie with pearls and it was delicious. Tapioca was top notch.
They did look at me a little weird when I ordered just the drink to go, but I didn't care - I was on cloud nine to know that Milwaukee has bubble tea!
