Best in SOMA: Varnish, Zebulon, maybe the W to check out the convention crowd... in the Nission, I've been hearing that Delirium is on rise, and The Phoenix is always good. With the weather getting better, can you say El Rio?

The Gallery Lounge (Brannan & 4th) is pretty cool. Similar to Wish, just fewer people.

I really like the house of shields on New Montgomery for a Friday post work drink, it's got a cool historic interior, it has ancient booths and a really mixed crowd of art school types and thirsty bankers. In my hood (western addition) I'd recommend Madrone, it's fairly new, and the music and infused vodkas are both great.
