Something different would be White Lotus. I actually was just there. It's meat alternative. Check it out!

Hmm... San Jose is pretty big and pretty diverse... It's about the same as saying that I am going to be in New York tonight... where should I eat?

I was at Merlion last night.  Although the owner is a family friend, I would highly recommend against it.

Take David T's suggestion and just go to the Row.  The Straits is a lot better.

Where in Santana Row is good? I've eaten at a few places, nothing really sticks out in my mind.

I have to agree with Anthony. There's nothing in Santana Row that I'd drive out of my way for (Santana Row's not even out of my way and I still don't go there to eat). But I guess if you're just looking for restaurants in San Jose, Santana Row does have 'em.

I tend to stick around downtown SJ and Campbell if I want to go out. Just close your eyes and point at a place, it'll most likely be very good.
